Galerie Michael Sturm was founded in 1996. Since then, we have been presenting international art with the aim of representing the spectrum of abstract and non-representational art of the present. The focus is on the constructive and concrete tendencies and their breaking in the post-minimalist and conceptual area of young art. In addition, there are conceptual positions in photography and organic abstract painting.
Our special passion is painting and the phenomenon of color in all its aspects. This starts with material-based monochrome, continues with color as a visual phenomenon, and extends to installations of color in space. We regularly present the latest works by our artists in solo exhibitions and group shows, in which we show mutual connections and exciting contrasts.
We see gallery work as an important contribution to the mediation of art and our artists and therefore also work closely with other galleries. Numerous exhibitions are therefore the result of collaborations that we publish together. This collaboration also extends to public institutions and collections, and we support them in planning and organizing exhibitions. We also provide advice in the areas of corporate collections and art in buildings.
